2. Mantra - Send Up A Badman (5:00)

Titus 12 - Step Forward EP [PLANET002]

An exciting release for us since it's our first by an outside producer. Luckily, Step Forward EP rises to the occasion: hip hop, dub and dubstep, all ambitiously blended with some fine production. The title track manages to hit that sweet spot between dancefloor and armchair, showing a perfect ear for melody, vocals and beats. The gloriously strange 'Thumb War' has also rapidly become a PT favourite, as has Titus 12 himself. Keep your eye on him, because free music doesn't get
much better than this.

1. Step Forward (4:47)
2. Thumb War (4:17)
3. FanfarI (5:00)
4. 2 Stroke Zoo (3:40)

Culprate - CaliginousBastille [PLANET003]

Culprate brings some welcome heaviness to the Planet Terror imprint with some genre-defying crossover dubs. Dubstep and breakcore meet in a dark alley late at night, and although it's not clear who wins, the carnage that ensues is well worth sticking around for. From the atmospheric 'Donkey' to the weird cuts of 'Slipper', this is an EP packed with variety and strange contrast that should bring in fans of many different genres. A skilled DJ and original producer, we're happy to have Culprate on board. Expect more from this man in the New Year.

1. Culprate - Egyptian Dub (4:39)
2. Culprate & Slick & Polygon - Donkey (5:42)
3. Culprate - Toddler's Nightmare (6:03)
4. Culprate - Slipper (5:53)
5. Culprate - Hallowed Point (5:27)

The very first Planet Terror compilation features a plethora of unknown cosmic bodies, an array of distant, orbiting delights. Returning to the fray are Titus Twelve and Culprate, two of PT favourites, along with some talented producers from all over Europe that you've probably never heard of. 'Unknown Planets' - get it? We're really pleased with the way this one has come out after three months of recruitment and much musical vetting. Press play and visit planets hitherto unbeknownst to you...

Barbarix - The Mystics EP [PLANET006]

Probably the most established artist to work with us so far, Barbarix has had releases on Belgian netlabel Entity.be and the infamous Brighton-based Net-Lab, as well as loads of attention from Mary Anne Hobbs, Nerm, Nihal and Bobby Friction of Radio 1 fame.

The Mystics EP is a significant departure from some of his more pounding creations, a relaxing and atmospheric affair best suited to lying in a darkened room or roaming through mystic wooded areas, climaxing with the glorious 'When Night Falls'. Clear yourself some headspace and bathe in the warming talent of Barbarix.

1. Born (4:33)
2. The Secret Garden (5:49)
3. Madeena Luithea (4:28)
4. When Night Falls (4:46)

"Beginning with the beatless opening soundscape of ‘Born’ and ending with the harrowing ‘When Night Falls’, Barbarix creates the impression of this release having a minuture life story of its own, and a peculiar pulse rising out of the backdrop of skillfully-arranged field recordings permeates the entire EP. Dim the lights in your front room, let this beautiful music fill the silence and I’m sure you will share in our excitement." - Ben Dorey, Now Then Magazine, Issue 13.

"I'm loving the mood on this one. Some very classical elements like harps and choir and all that..." - The Stuff I Listen To.

B1t Crunch3r - The Travelogue EP [PLANET007]

The Travelogue EP was assembled by Hollywood producer B1t Crunch3r, who has had releases on Take 5 Music and Substruk Recordings. Featuring two collaborations, a VIP and a solo effort, the EP is a net project between B1t Crunch3r (California, USA), Adapt (North Carolina, USA) and Phonetic System (Sydney, Australia).

Comparisons to Scuba and Quantum Soul seem pretty appropriate here, especially for opener 'House of Ophiuchus', a track that hinges on a lilting sitar line and heavy bass. Meanwhile, the atmospheric 'Night Creatures' lies at the other end of this EP's wide spectrum. Expect more from these producers.

1. B1t Crunch3r & Adapt - House of Ophiuchus (5:30)
2. B1t Crunch3r & Phonetic System - Replicators (6:05)
3. B1t Crunch3r & Adapt - Foresight VIP (6:32)
4. B1t Crunch3r - Night Creatures (5:32)

Mikuś - Dub Mirror [PLANET008]

South-Londoner Mikuś has his first release on Planet Terror. Spacey, Eastern-flavoured dub with vintage sounds and a special guest appearance from trumpeter Kevin Robinson (Ray Charles/George Benson/Desmond Decker/Lauryn Hill session player).

2. Dub Mirror (4:01)
3. From Ever Since (3:47)
4. Brockley Skank (3:03)
5. Temple Ball (3:37)

Anagramm [PLANET009]

Anagramm is a new addition to the Planet Terror roster and not one to be taken lightly. Be ready for crazed dubby IDM, dubstep, neo-classical glitches and spoken word courtesy of Sheffield poet Joe Kriss. Weird and wonderful.

3. Idiom ft. Cellar Dweller (4:14)
4. While Walking (2:21)
5. Lantern Song (5:49)
6. Blizzard (6:15)
7. Serenity (3:58)
8. Margeurite En Larmes (4.06)

Robot Koch - 101 [PLANET010]

Berlin-based producer Robot Koch is a busy man. Between producing and touring with electronic mash-up trio Jahcoozi, the man-machine recently launched his own label, Robots Don't Sleep, with the release of Aftershocks, a collaboration with Japan-based musician Cerebral Vortex. Robot Koch's productions have been released on a variety of labels including Ninja Tune, Up My Alley, Kitty-Yo and Sugarcane. These two tracks are a welcome injection of hip hop that Planet Terror has been begging for since day one.

1. 101 (6:02)
2. Day Like This (3:14)

"The two tracks available incorporate hip hop sensibilities alongside IDM bleeps and squeaks, placing the release closer to producers like edIT and Pedro than any of the new, so-called 'future hip hoppers'." - Reg Regler, Now Then Magazine, Issue 16.
